Renowned VJ of Pakistan Anoushey Ashraf has finally tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony. She posted photos of her nikah ceremony on Instagram. But the caption revealed a story. Caption, in a subtle manner, revealed how she was subjected to constant harassment and pressure for not getting married earlier and what she was really waiting for if not getting married was her life goal. The hidden meanings are precise for the audience if they think a little deeper. She blamed the older adults for it, though she did not mention anyone in particular. Her way of shutting up those elderly harassers was evident in her caption.
All we can say is that Pakistani women are pressured to get married, and society does not spare even female celebrities from such harassment. Getting married is one’s personal choice and matters, but in Pakistan, there’s no limit to being judgmental as it comes free of cost. Besides, why would people care for anyone else if they want to vent their insecurities by hurting others and questioning their personal life choices?
Anoushey wore a typical white bridal dress with golden work. Anoushey’s glowing face reflected her inner state of joy and peace of mind. She must be relieved that she finally robbed the people of their harassment opportunities. She did not reveal anything about her groom to keep her married life a private affair. Again, she gave a shut-up call to all the harassers who might be on the mission to dig out the information and make her uncomfortable in any way possible.
Hats off to Anoushey Ashraf for a splendid strategy to keep her private married life out of the limelight, and best of luck for her future!
