Let’s examine the storyline of “Ishq Hua.” Haroon Kadwani is likely to play the role of the leading man, Tabrez, who works under a gangster named Sohail Sameer. The beginning is intense and hilarious, with Tabrez being Sameer’s right-hand man. Despite working with a gang, Tabrez’s outfit and outlook drastically differ from those of other gang members. He is an educated, sophisticated, and angry young man who would fight tooth and nail for his principles.
Twist #1: The tranquility is shattered when the gangster’s sister (or possibly daughter) enters the scene. Komal Meer takes on the role of Minsa, who falls for Tabrez after he saves her life. Tabrez, in turn, finds himself drawn to her, and their love story begins. It’s a familiar beginning, but the journey ahead is anything but predictable.
Point to Ponder: Should a life-saving act instantly lead to love? The rescuer might have their own commitments or may not be interested in a fleeting romance. It’s a question that challenges our understanding of love and relationships.
Twist #2: The plot thickens when the gangster boss, Sameer Sohail, discovers his sister’s feelings for Tabrez. This is unacceptable to him, and he takes personal offense. He warns Tabrez in a seemingly friendly manner, not wanting to lose him, while secretly arranging Minsa’s marriage. The stage is set for a dramatic turn of events!
Point to Ponder: If the lovebirds are married to each other, then there would be no conflict, no bloodshed, and peace would prevail. So why not get them married for peace of mind? Why impose restrictions in the name of family honor?
Twist #3: It’s time for Tabrez to take action. He meets Minsa at night and tells her about his plan to elope. It’s the only way to escape her forced marriage, but little do they know, their plan will land them in hot water. They will suffer massively and will be chased until they give up. So, Minsa elopes with Tabrez. The gangster’s brother learns about this and chases them in a fury. They manage to escape by hopping on a train and moving to the city, but things get worse as they run out of money.
Point to Ponder: Finances are a significant concern for any couple. Shouldn’t finances be planned well before starting a new life journey, especially if a girl plans to elope with her boyfriend? Life isn’t all roses. Financial management is crucial in making a marriage work, alongside love and loyalty.
Twist #4 One fine day, Tabrez and Minsa are spotted in the city by the gangsters. They start shooting bullets at them. Minsa manages to dodge the bullets, but Tabrez isn’t so lucky. While both run to save their lives, Tabrez gets wounded. They make it safely to their rented apartment, but then Tabrez is seen tending to his bullet wound. Minsa helps him, but she also realizes that it’s high time she must go back to her gangster brother, or else he will kill Tabrez. She leaves Tabrez while he sleeps and returns to her brother, Sameer.
Point to Ponder: Eloping is not for the faint of heart. If you are not strong-willed and have poor decision-making skills, then just like Minsa, you would leave Tabrez in the middle of nowhere and eventually resign to the fate decided by others. Please make your own decisions, take responsibility for them, and make sure you do not ruin others’ lives before you make any big decisions.
Twist #5 Tabrez finally wakes up but gets anxious when he doesn’t find Minsa in his apartment. He reads the letter Minsa left about her decision to go back. It’s too late for Tabrez. Minsa has already reached her brother’s mansion. The gangster brother arranges for an urgent wedding ceremony for Minsa. Dressed in red bridal attire, she is ready to accept her fate. Tabrez reaches the mansion and gets beaten severely by the gangster. Minsa begs her brother to stop beating Tabrez. Finally, the gangster brother pulls out a gun to shoot Tabrez, but Minsa steps in. Please guess the ending! Yes! Gunshot! Someone’s killed. In my opinion, it was Minsa who got killed. Because Tabrez is seen setting the mansion on fire in one of the scenes, that scene would be one of the endings.
Point to Ponder: No matter the circumstances, if someone betrays you, do not trust them again. Minsa broke Tabrez’s trust, but ultimately, she laid her life for him. Real life is different; people might manipulate you but would not sacrifice their lives for you.
